That same year, she was awarded a grant to teach a long term workshop to a special needs class of third and fourth grade boys. She has taught classes and given workshops at The Falmouth Artists’ Guild, The Cataumet Art Center, The Cape Cod Art Association and at several Adult Education venues. In 1991, Lee had her first major solo exhibition at the Cape Cod Conservatory, Barnstable, MA. Lee’s paintings reflect her joy of nature, whether working en plein air or in her studio; she responds to her subject matter intuitively and emotionally, painting vividly in oils, pastels and acrylics.
