Terry Dunn attended The Massachusetts College of Art from 1945-48. In 1977, she received both a BA and a Master of Fine Arts with honors from American University, Washington, DC. She took workshops with Raymond Kintsler, Charles Sovek and Wolf Kahn. She served on the faculty of Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland from 1979-81, and the Washington Studio School from 1992-94 where she was Director of Faculty and painting instructor. She has received numerous awards which include many first prizes in juried exhibitions in the Washington, D.C., area and Cape Cod and a Fellowship Award from The Vermont Studio Center in 1999. She enjoys the freedom of working on paper and paints large and vibrant still-lifes in oils. The Cape Cod landscape has proven to be irresistible and her contemporary oil paintings of the region are very appealing.
